DLC isnt recognized by the game and does not show up. i installed cottage living, vampires and realms of magic and either origin or the sims game recognizes the game as me owning it. i have tried to reinstall the game, redownload the dlc and even updated the game and First, clear its cache: Then open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. If you don't have Origin installed anymore, please download it again; the EA App doesn't have the repair function. Hey all. I am pretty frustrated.. I would like to play The Sims 4 on my M1 Mac, but the expansion packs are not showing up in game. I have updated everything, even redownloading it. It shows as downloaded in the right spot on Origin and in the folders, but when I go in game, it doesn't show up. It works fine on my older Mac, just not the new one. If not, I'd suggest creating a copy of your Saves folder and placing it safely elsewhere. Then, remove all of your current Saves from the main folder [don't worry, the copies are safely backed up], delete your localthumbcache.pkg, try to repair your game. then run it to see if all of your DLC is loaded. If it turns up, then you can try adding 1. Completely uninstall ALL Sims content from all sources, make a back up of saves and mods just in case. (If you do not uninstall Sims through EA, it will not work correctly after downloading and launching the Steam version via steam, my 1st hang up) 2. Install base game from Steam. 3. Open the EA app and it will see Steam managed Sims base Go to Documents\Electronic Arts and move The Sims 4 folder to desktop - this will start the game fresh. Run the game. If you still get the same problem - run the validator. If starting the game fresh solved the problem - copy your saves folder from The Sims 4 folder you moved to desktop, to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. .
